St. Michael School

2024 Read A Thon

Friday, March 1 - Sunday, March 17, 2024

The St. Michael School Read-A-Thon is a Parent Teacher Organizations (PTO) fundraiser where the donations go to PTO to support the school. Students are encouraged to read throughout the Read A Thon and record the minutes they read (or are read to) on their reading log. All reading counts, whether reading out loud, to yourself, or being read to by another person. During this time students are encouraged to solicit pledges from friends and family either as a flat amount or a “per minute read” amount.

The funds raised through this PTO fundraiser will assist subsidizing the cost of student materials, new classroom technology for students and teachers, educational activities, field trips and transportation, fun student events like the Ice Cream Social and more.

A portion of this year's funds will also go toward the purchase of new books for the library!

The Read-A-Thon goal for this year is $10,000 and 100,000 minutes read. That's an average of 20 minutes per day and $30 per student.
