The Read-A-Thon is a two week event where we challenge students to read daily and track the minutes spent. Most importantly, it promotes reading! It empowers individual readers' interests and preferences, and promotes school spirit.

Starting Monday February, 23rd through Sunday, March 8th, students log the minutes read during DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) time at school, any other time they read books at school, anytime they read books at home or any minutes someone reads to them. Listening to audio books counts too! 

 Whether they are reading to themselves or being read to, students learn that reading is fun!

PTO plays a vital role in the overall success of the school. Funds raised through the PTO sponsored fundraisers help subsidize the costs of new technology equipment and sponsorship of educational activities for students and teachers. The fundraisers also contribute to field trips and transportation, fun student events (ice cream social), luncheons and continuing education for teachers and staff. Each year these funds are used to purchase new chrome books for all 5th graders to use through their 8th grade year and to provide high school scholarships to 8th grade students.

Returning St. Michael Families  

To fully access this site, you must log in and verify your family account info. This is the same site used for Walk a Thon.

1. Once you have completed the new school year verification, you will have full access and can invite family, neighbors and friends to donate directly from your students campaign page using Facebook, Twitter, or Email.                                                                                                                                         ***** Family members (grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, etc.) DO NOT create accounts through this website. It is only for current St. Michael school families.
2. Each student has an individual campaign page which you can edit with a student picture and increase the pre-set Goal amount of $50 to raise more funds to help the school meet the goal of $10,000.00.
